PLANT & GROW WORKSHOP

Weekend 1
Learn the basics of botany, plant identification, companion planting and plant needs so you are ready to start planting and growing your own food. We’ll dive into a technique called square foot gardening, which is loved by newbies and experts alike. Easily grow more food in less space which leaves you with more space for your trees, your bees, and your Mercedes. We’re not here to judge. Using all that you have learned, you will then make a gardening plan and get your hands dirty planting it outside.

Weekend 2

With newfound appreciation and understanding, use trees to make your house the perfect temperature, reduce your bills, and provide secondary places to relax outside. You will also learn how trees can be incredible resources for you, such as: providing you abundant food, recreation, and a source of income! Get ready to learn how to best plant a tree to ensure success, techniques for propagation to multiply your plants, and how to prune and “chop-and-drop” to increase production. Then get ready to update your resume.

“Be prepared to learn about a lot more than just growing a garden! This is a gateway class to so much more.”
